The Fein Multi-Purpose Multimaster Tool

Unlike earlier models that require an Allen wrench and removal of the center bold to change accessories the MultiMaster 250Q has a quick change chuck. Just lift a tab on the back and the entire shaft connecting the accessory is loosened and ready to be replaced. Since, with oscillating tools there may be several times that it is necessary to change the accessory in one project, this makes each job a little quicker and simpler. When the accessory is replaced, just snap the tab back in place and the new accessory is secured. It is very quick and easy and saves minutes each time compared to the previous Multimaster models.

The MultiMaster 250Q comes with six different sanding accessories, varying in use according to what you may be sanding on at the time. Another great addition to this model is the dust collection unit, similar to the Rockwell oscillating tool. The dust collection on the 250Q is much more effective than the system on the Rockwell oscillating tool. In fact, it is the best we have seen. It works well enough that you can feel confident in doing a sanding job in a room that is fully furnished, without the hassle of laying down newspaper or plastic, or the need to use a vacuum cleaner when you are done. This just another way the Fein has proved to be the brand name that can produce a tool that can help you get finished faster.

In addition to a quality tool, the Multimaster tool comes with a decent case to store the tool and all of the accessories. This case is more durable and well organized than any of the Multimaster’s competitor’s storage cases. Though the MultiMaster 250Q comes with a higher price than the competing brands the quality of the product ensures that you will have a longer lasting investment with the 250Q, not to mention a larger assortment of profiled accessories. Investing a little more to get a MultiMaster 250Q will get you more for your money.
